When it came to designing a website for Laura Palmer Edwards, I wanted to make sure that her personality, which has a way of showing up in her work, was not lost. I knew the site had to be bright, bold in color, intricate in design, yet simple enough to balance out the assiduity of color, drawing attention to her art. Just like Laura, her work goes with the flow. Maybe initially starting with an idea, the act of doing the work is what takes her creativity in different directions. That is something I appreciate most about her: her ability to live + create freely. My hope is that you sense all of this when you visit Laura’s website.
